in 1863, the well-known painter and neighbor, odilon redon was working on an illustration for baudelaire"s fleurs du mal (flowers of evil) when he suggested this name to the owner of the property.
the year 2011 starts with a rainy winter followed by a sweltering beginning of spring, that freshens up in july. the august weather passes from good and sunny to a dark sky.
humidity and heat are sources of worry. good weather, breeze and composure are reassuring for the harvest: we avoid grey mold and the grapes are perfectly ripe when picked.
