with the 1855 classification this wine was classified in 1970 to baron phillippe de rothschild and was maintained by his daughter phillipne de rothschild. the vines are planted in traditional bordeaux grape varieties and are planted next to the cellars of lafite and with its 30 hectares that are along teh gironde. it is a classic wine and with good pedrigree and is considered a great wine in its category. the label represents the dancing jesters that a piece of art in the mouton museum and also known as a comical event from the 17th century.
