sante is the brand name and the name of my winery, which is named after my great grandfather sante arcangeli. the word "sante" is also commonly used in both french and italian as a toast, in place of "cheers".
selezione is the italian word for "selection". selezione susie literally means "susie's selection", which is our equivalent to "barrel selection" or "reserve". it designates a special barrel that was selected by the winemaker for it's outstanding flavor characteristics and thus offered as a special selection in honor of a close friend (susie) who passed away in 2009.14.7 %
