these vines, planted of typical grape varieties of the region, adjoin with those of lafite and mouton and spread along 30 ha along the gironde.
this wine, classic and a wine to keep, is considered today, in its category, equal with the best. the label reproduces a work which appears in the "museum of wine in art" of château mouton rothschild : a pair of dancing clowns inspired of commedia dell"arte, work of a german goldsmith of the end of the 16th, having belonged to the empress catherine of russia.
