depuis son acquisition en 1998 par la baronne philippine de rothschild et ses deux fils, domaine de baron'arques constitue une veritable reference pour les vins rouges du languedoc. forts de cette reussite, les proprietaires du domaine produisent aussi un grand vin blanc, en aoc limoux: le chardonnay domaine de baron'arques. issu a 100% du cepage chardonnay, recolte en cagettes, eleve en barriques et mis en bouteilles au comaine ce vin exprime toute la richesse du terroir de limoux, reconnue par les amateurs du monde entier. sa complexite aromatique, sa mineralite, sa fraicheur et son equilibre en font un vin de garde, qui peut rivaliser avec les plus grandes appellations. translation: since baroness philippine de rothschild and her two sons acquired the estate in 1998, domaine de baron'arques has become a standard-setter for languedoc red wines. encouraged by this success, since the 2009 vintage the domaine's owners have also produced a fine aoc limoux white wine, le chardonnay domaine de baron'arques. made entirely from chardonnay grapes hand-picked in small baskets, matured in oak casks and bottled at the domaine, the wine expresses all the richness of the limoux terroir, appreciated by wine lovers all over the world. its complex aromas and flavors, minerality, freshness and balance make it a wine with aging potential that can rival the finest appellations.
