chateau d'armailhac formerly chateau mouton baronne philippe
chateau d'armailhac was named chateau mouton baron philippe from 1956 to 1974, then mouton baronne philippe from 1975 to 1988. created in the 18th century by the d'armailhacq (or d'armailhac, it has thus had part of its original identity restored.
a neighbor of chateau mouton rothschild, it is nevertheless entirely separate, with its own vineyards, vat house and cellars. an excellent wine, it has a distinctive personality which can now fully come into its own.
from mouton baron philippe to d'armailhac, the name may be different but under a new label the complexity and richness of a great pauillac remain unchanged.
