the roque de by is located north of pauillac, in the heart of the medoc appellation. the soil exceptional for its historic quality and is highlighted by this harmonious blend (cabernet sauvignon 50%, merlot 50%) allowing for the great aromas of this medoc wine to be expressed.
the balanced expression of fruit and barrel aging (french oak for 6 month) give a soft and round wine with mature tannins and an elegant and refined character. the charming and modern soul is accented toward fine gastronomic pairings.
as with all great bordeaux wines, the roque de by should be opened one hour before the meal and served between 16 and 18 degrees c (60.8 and 64.4 degrees f). pleasant to drink when young with grilled meats or with white meats. it can also pleasantly accompany game and read meats as well as cheese.
