red bordeaux wine
in 1662 a couvent was founded in saint estephe on the estate which is today called chateau meyney. the vineyard covers 50 hectares (123.5 acres) on the slopes that overlook the estuary of the gironde river.
the soil composition is composed of several types of rock. the wine finds rich fruity flavors, a density and a length on the palette in those rocks which allow for a great aging potential. the blend is typically medoc with 61% cabernet sauvignon, 10% petit verdot, 26% merlot and 3% cabernet franc. the entire harvest is estate bottled.
