believed class in 1855, chateau clerc milon was acquired in 1970 by baron philippe de rothschild, and it is now owned by his daughter, philippine de rothschild. its traditional vines, planted in bordeaux varietals, are contiques to those of lafite and mouton and will extend over thirty hectares along the gironde. its wine, classic and good care, today is considered, in its class, the equal of the best. the label rproduces a work ontained in the "museum of the wine in the art" of chateau mouton rothschild:a couple of dancing clowns inspired by commedia dell' arte, work of a german goldsmith at the end of the 17th century, which belonged a empress catherine of russia.
