vintage class in 1855, chateau clerc milon was acquired in 1970 by baron philippe de rothschild, and is now the property of his daughter, philippine de rothschild. its vineyards, planted with traditional bordeaux grape varieties are contiguous to those of lafite and mouton and extend over trent hectares along the gironde. its wine, classic and guard, is now considered in its category, has the equal of the best. the label reproduces a work that is in the museum du vin in i'art chateau mouton rothschild a couple of clowns dancing inspired by the commedia dell 'arte, a german goldsmith work of the late seventeenth century, which belonged to the empress catherine of russia.
