château d"armailhac formerly named château mouton baronne philippe
château d"armailhac was named from 1956 until to 1974 château mouton baron philippe, then from 1975 until 1988, mouton baronne philippe;
in the d"armailhacq family (or d"armailhac) since the xviiiith century, this 5th growth classified in 1855 under the name of château mouton d"armailhacq, thus returns partly to its original identity.
located next to château mouton rothschild it is nevertheless quite different, through its vineyards, cellars and its vat house.
thus this excellent wine with its own character has been fully recognized ever since.
despite the successive changes of names, from mouton baronne philippe to d"armailhac, but with a new label complexity and richness of a grand pauillac have been kept on.
