the french text on the back label reads as:
classified as bordeaux first growth wine, chateau mouton rotschild is one of world's best wines. it comes from a 80 ha vineyard in pauillac, medoc area. driven to the top by baron philippe de rotschild (1902-1988), who associated to it a space of beauty and art, it belongs today to his daughter, philippine de rotshild.
since 1945, each year, a famous artist has been creating an original piece of art for the label of the bottle. this year's artist is bernar venet, born 1941, worldwide known for his monumental steel lines. the label he has designed for this label symbolyses glasses enrootened in the soil, like vines, and turned towards heaven's gifts.
