c'est en 1662 qu'un couvent a ete fonde a saint-estephe, sur le domaine qui a pris le nom aujourd'hui bien connu de chateau meyney. le vignoble s'etend sur 50 hectares, sur les coteaux qui surplombent l'estuaire de la gironde. le terroir est compose d'un epandage de graves, avec une veine argileuse profonde, reposant sur un socle calcaire. le vin y puise de riches saveurs fruitees, une densit et une longueur en bouche, autorisant un grand potentiel de garde. l'encepagement est typiquement medocain avec 61% de cabernet sauvignon, 10% de petit verdot, 26^ de merlot et 3% d cabernet franc. toure la recolte est mise en bouteille au chateau.
english: it is in 1662 when a nunnery was founded in saint-estephe, on the domain which took the today well-known name of castle meyney. the vineyard stretches over 50 hectares, over the slopes which overhang the estuary of gironde. the land is composed of epandage of serious, with a deep loamy vein, resting on a calcareous plinth. the wine scoops from it out rich fruity tastes, dense and a length in mouth, allowing a big potential of nurse. encepagement is typically medocain with 61 % of cabernet sauvignon, 10 % of small verdot, 26 ^ of merlot and 3 % d frank cabernet. toure the crop is bottled in the castle.
