chateau d"armailhac from 1956 to 174 was named chateau mouton baron philippe and from 1975 to 1988 chateau mouton baronne philippe. created in the 18th century by the d"armailhacq (or d"armailhac) family, this 5th growth of 1855 under the name chateau mouton d"armailhacq is retrieving a part of its original identity.
a neighbor of chateau mouton rothschild, it is nevertheless distinct in its vines, winery and cellar. this excellent wine possesses its own identity which will be plainly recognized.
