-2012 is our 30th year in business and this wine is being featured as a 30th anniversary release, released in 2012.
-2008 was our 20th vintage in our current winemaking facility (1989 was the first) that we share with au bon climat (jim). years ago a british journalist referred to our winemaking facility as a "shed". jim also released a 2008 pinot noir that he called "20 years in the shed with bob"
-1955, 1959, 1963, 1965, 1981, 1988 are years that the dodgers won world championships, those dates straddle the la poppy that is an homage to the dodgers.
-there is also a snippet of a beach boys song lyric "dove nested tower..." and a snippet from a kinks lyric "the only way that i can get my fun..."syrah
