on the front of the bottle is the fanciful name "valhalla" above our oval logo. on the sides of the logo, the alcohol content and volume of container are displayed. underneath the logo, is the class/type designation: "belgian style pale brewed with honey"
on the back of the bottle, enclosed in a box, underneath the brand name "viking braggot company" is a section of text that reads: "our inaugural brew, valhalla, is a braggot brewed in the style of a belgian pale ale with the finest wildflower honey. the delicate malt profile, created by a blend of three malts, allows the flavor of the honey to round out the slight bitterness provided by northern brewer and mt. hood hops. those with especially keen senses will detect a slight blueberry scent from our proprietary blueberry infusion. enjoy.
historically, a braggot is a form of mead made with barley and hops. today, we are adapting the concept of a braggot to make malt-based honey ales in modern northwest craft beer styles.
