elaborated and bottled by valdamor s.a. xil meano pontevedra spain elaborated in barrels; harvest of 2001; valdamor wanted to comemorate its fifth aniversary with the first elaboration of an albarino fermented in barrels. we harvested and selected by hand grain by grain the best grapes from the best and oldest branches in the valley with a median age of 25 years. produced by our 200 grape cultivators during the month of september 2001. each individual provided no more than 75 kgs. the pressed grapes fermented in its own properties in barrel made of french oak of the nevers variety and remained in them for six months exactly until its final bottling. this fermented albarino is an hommage to the elaborating artisans of our land and we have maintained ourselves loyal to their firm elaboration tradition. capturing the essence of the albarino grape and de 2001 harvest has only permitted us to elaborate 8000 bottles of this carefull selection. serving recommendation between 10c and 12c.
