text on the left: 1786 gründete der aus den niederlanden an den rhein gewanderte kaufmann peter joseph valckenberg ein weinhandelshaus in worms. stammhaus ist der silberbornhof erbaut von balthasar neumann. in 1786 the dutch merchant, peter joseph valckenberg, who moved to the rhein established a wine business in worms. the head office (parent house?) is the "silberbornhof" which was build by balthasar neumann. text on the right: im jahre 1808 erwarb er das kapuzinerkloster und die historischen weingärten um die liebfrauenkirche. mit seinem kosmopolitischen denken und handeln legte er den grundstein für valckenbergs internationales weingeschäft. in 1808 he bought the capuchin monastery and the historic vineyards around the liebfrauenkirche.(church of our lady) with his cosmopolitan thinking and acting he put the corner stone of valckenberg"s international wine business
