for 10+ years we have imported this sake. please refer to momokawa brewing japan's tokubetsu honjozo. it is an approved label with the most recent approval being just over a year ago. the term "honjozo" literally means that there is added distilled spirits as the sop, and pre import letter of approval state. honjozo is a style of sake not produced in the u.s. but is a legal product for import and use of the reference of added distilled spirits, because of technical accuracy (this being a honjozo style, or having small amounts of distilled spirits added, has never been an issue. we greatly appreciate the attention to detail and are more than happy to assist with sake terminology and information if desired.
