translation: doc wine from 1985, this wine is well known since old times. the first historical citation relating the wines from morro d'alba is thanks to federico barbarossa, who chose morro d'alba as the headquarters during the ancona siege in 1167. the inhabitants were forced to offer the emperor the better foods and wines, among these was the famous "morro d'alba grape juice". the name "lacrima" (tear) came from the characteristic of this varietal which "cry" from the berries when it is perfectly ripe. lacrima di morro d'alba is intense ruby red with purple tones. delicate and fruity, this marche wine improves with a brief aging in bottle.
