this wine is produced from the san rocco vineyard, and is an expression of the marano valley. it is located at one of the highest points in the valpolicella classico region at around 510 metres. the vineyard is cultivated on the pergola system and faces southeast with soils derived from volcanic basalt with frequent outcrops of igneous bedrock. this amarone is delicately spiced with aromas of clove on the nose, well integrated on the palate with a distinctive mineral character that gives real depth of personality.
