denominacao de origem controlada = controlled denomination of origin (seen on brand label); vinho tinto = red wine; "elaborado de parcelas de vinhas de solos de xisto, na original encosta de vila de frades, a partir das castas trindadeira, alfrocheiro, alicante boushet, com vinificacao em balseiros de carvalho frances, maturacao prolongada de 12 meses de barrica e estagio em garrafas durante 8 meses. ao nariz mostra uma grande intensidade, expressa em frutos negros, envolvidos por uma cremosa tosta de madeira, muito longa e persistente. servir a 16c com carnes e peixes de longa confeccao. consumir ou guardar ate 2014. contem sulfitos. = produced from parcels of vines from schist soils in the original hillsides of vila de frades, with the varietals trincadeira, alfrocheiro and alicante boushet, with vinification in french oak vats and aged for 12 months in oak barrels then staged in the bottle for a further 8 months. the nose displays grand intensity, expressing black fruits through a creamy toasted wood with a long persistant finish. serve at 16 degrees c with meats and roasted fish. consume now or keep until 2014. contains sulfites.
