prélude à grand puy ducasse is made from the youngest vines at château grand puy ducasse, grand cru classé of pauillac in the classification of 1855.
the same requirements are applied to this wine"s production as to its "big brother". each vintage is harvested by hand and is carefully sorted manually.
the blend is made up of the two varieties grown at the property: cabernet sauvignon (60%) and merlot (40%). they bring delicacy to the palate, contribute to the elegance of the aromas and give a beautiful harmony to the wine.
prélude à grand puy ducasse is bottled after 18 monthes ageing in french oak barrels.
"wine is a natural product. if a deposit appears in the bottle, the wine should simply be decanted in order to appreciate it fully."
