this wine is produced from the monte vineyard, located at an altitude of around 440 metres, and is an expression of the highest point of the valley of sant ambrogio. the vineyard is cultivated on the pergola system and faces south-southwest, with medium textured soil overlying subsoil of chalky marl and red limestone from which the famous local stone is quarried. these characteristics give an unmistakable wine, with sweet aromas of red jam on the nose, which merge on the palate into an intriguing softness.
