treuve rosso merk wines are produced in the friuli aquileia doc area, where the geretto family owns vineyards in scodovacca di cervignano. in this emerging doc zone of friuli, the soil consists of alluvial sands and shales, and with the sea nearby the climate is particularly mild. this favourable environment produces quality, full-bodied wines, which guarantee an enjoyable drinking experience. this wine is blend of refosco, cabernet franc and merlot. these different grapes are produced into wine separately and then assembled in equal quantity in order that every grape can give its own characteristics. the permanence in barrique barrels for ten months and the following sharpening in bottle guarantee harmony and pleasant taste. the definite taste and structure make it ideal to drink with braised, grilled meats and game. serve at 60-65°.
