this wine is born of a long history of confrontation (beginning in 1987) between sangiovese and the other varities on our estates.over the years we have increased the use of sangiovese, bush trained and planted to high density (8000-1000 plants per hectare)with strict selection. to this we add small quantities of cabernet sauvignon, merlot and syrah to ensure the ideal balance of elegance, sturdiness and fruit, always retaining the style that characterises the wines of our estate.
