kegs are stenciled with "lightning brewery" for identification purposes. kegs are of standard designs and embossed with the volumes they contain: 50 l kegs are stainless steel with sankey couplers, 7.75 gal kegs are "torpedo" style with sankey couplers, 5 gal and 2.5 gal kegs are standard soda kegs of "cornelius" design with separate couplers for the injection of carbon dioxide and dispensation of the beer. all keg are readily distinguishable by their appearance.
clarification of the word "electrostatic" and how it relates to this beer: we are at the lightning brewery and have tried to consistently name our beers using scientific terms that relate to weather and in particular lightning. lightning is the movement of charge from either the earth to atmosphere or the opposite. when charge is not moving it is referred to as static or electrostatic. so, lightning is comprised of electrostatic charge that suddenly moves. we thought that would make for a good name for a new beer. thank you for your help in keeping this and all of the lightning brewery beers properly labeled. if you need to know more on this beer's name, please let me know. best regards, jim crute, president
