other label translation: danube plain region. suhindol peak, the highest point of the danubian plain, rises 480 metres above sea level north of suhindol. it is a volcano long extinct, with a 9 metres wide crater. the volcanic ash is rich in minerals, thus forming soils which are excellent for vine growing. just below the peak, at the 299 metre mark, lies a stretch of land called star dimcha (old dimcha). there are our vineyards, wherefrom these unique wines have come to life. modern and daring, the kotta 299 wines blend the taste of style and the new world with the centuries old vine growing and winemaking traditions of bulgaria. a non-filtered wine, decanting is recommended.
