back label: a classified growth 1855, chateau clerc milon was acquired in 1970 by baron philippe de rothschild and the property is managed by his daughter philippine de rothschild.
the vines,planted with the traditional bordelais varieties are contiguous to those of lafite and mouton, and cover 30 acres along the gironde. this wine classic and good quality is now considered among the best in its category. the label reproduces a work that is part of the museum of the art of wine of chateau mouton rothschild : a couple of dancing buffons which is inspired by the
" commedia dell' arte". a work by german silversmith from the end of the 18th century, who work for the emperatrice catherine of russia.
