this wine, first produced in the 1992 vintage, is largely responsible for the success of the rebirth, at the fattoria zerbina in marzeno, of the viticulture which once characterized italy"s romagna, the head-pruned bush vines of yesteryear. the rigorous selection of the vines which were planted and the maturity of the vineyard itself now justly allow torre di ceparano to be promoted to the riserva category. after a long, slow maceration on its skins, the wine is aged for a year in high quality oak and is then given an additional six months of bottle aging before release. it is a tribute to our territory and to the variety which distinguishes it.15.0 %
