i have devoted my undivided attention to this high-quality wine which reflects i believe the experience i have gained with my grand cru classe wine - chateau pape clement. built in 1120, our chateau is the oldest of the medoc region. owned in 1400 by the house of foix, loyal to the king of england. in 1486, carnet became the new owner. the family of michel de montaigne owned the domaine in the 1500's. this haut-medoc, classified in 1855 grand cru classe, is made from hand selected 62% merlot, 33% cabernet sauvignon, 2% cabernet franc, and 3% petit verdot. this wine is made traditionally during 16 month before bottling and served at the world's best table. the 2009 harvest began september 29th.
controlled appellation of haut-medoc

bottled at the chateau.
