mis en bouteille au chateau = bottled at the chateau brand label translations =the history of chateau giscours dates back to about 1330. chateau giscours name has been associated with wine production since 1552 even before it was classified in 1855. the vineyards are situated in the great margaux appellaiton. the 82 hectares giscours vineyard is comprised of 60% cabernet sauvignon, 32% merlot, 5% cabernet franc and 3% petit verdot vines. the wines of giscours express all the finesse and elegance of the great wines from the margaux appellation.
