formerly chateau mouton baronne philippe
chateau d'armailhac took, from 1956 to 1974, the name of chateau mouton baron philippe, then from 1975 to 1988, mouton baronne philippe. that's how founded in the eighteenth century by family armailhacq (or armailhac), this fifth classified growth in 1855 under the name of chateau mouton armailhacq, found, in part, its original identity.
neighbor of château mouton rothschild, it is nevertheless quite distinct, both by its vineyards and winery cellars. this excellent cru has its own personality which will now be fully recognized.
from mouton baronne philippe d'armailhac, the name has changed but under a new label, are perpetuated the complexity and richness of a great pauillac.
