chateau d' armailhac from 1956 to 1974 was part of chateau baron philippe, after 1975 to 1988 it was part of chateau baronne phillippe. created in the 18th century and part of the chateau d' armailhacq family (or d'armailahc)is a fifth growth classe since the 1855 classification and now is chateau mouton d'armailhac and for a short time returning to its original identity.
it is known that chateau mouton rothschild is important and distinct in in characteristics from its vines all the way to the oak it uses. it is an excellent personality and that is very recognizable.
the mouton baronne philippe d'armailhac, along with the name the label has changed to make it more newer, which shows the richness and complexity of the wines of pauillac
