translation of french text: "this blend situated in the heart of the condrieu appellation comes exclusively from the chanson vineyard. the parcel is from a steep and arid slope of muscovy granite extending over about 2.5 hectares. in earlier days viognier was cultivated in but a single place: condrieu. it is on that original ground that it expresses all of its finesse and subtlety. the coat of arms of this winemaking family are those of the owner of the domaine de monteillet in the seventeenth century, an official under louis xiv. this domaine exists since the middle ages. at the time of the french revolution, the ancestors of stephane montez acquired it. that makes ten generations of producers. service temperature is between 9 and 14 degrees celsius in a carafe.
