a world where mainstream is he generalized massification of desires and products, is a world where even newness seems more of the same, where the desire bewildered by the subtlety of the differences keeps desiring more desire in a manic tautology that replaces the product by the brand and the good by the well known. there are wines perfectly inserted in this context, soft, velvety, elegant, even sophisticated and famous, good or less good they are more of the same, they are wines in the plural, addressed to everyone at every time...and then there is brutalis, which is addressed at everyone, but only now and then. brutalis is not exactly and elegant wine, but it is not over-extracted either. at fist site, it looks like a "rough soul" with hairs all over his chest, which goes straight to the point, but without dismissing subtleties and a gentleman's good manners while it bombards your senses with an array of well polished exaggerations--it's like an iron hand in a glove of soft velvet. a wine for those moments when we are tired of everything and won't have "more of the same." drink it with moderation accompanied by substantial dishes.
cabernet sauvignon, alicante bouschet
