boulder bluff vineyard adjoins our oldest vineyard, quarter mile lane, on the chehalem mountains. it is a very warm site because of its steep southwest slope and the basalt boulders which hold the heat. both the pinot noir and chardonnay blocks planted here are yielding spectacular wines. this first single vineyard pinot noir comes from two of the selections - one brought from burgundy by gary andrus called as 2 and a selection of unclear origin purchased from chuck coury and planted at quarter mile lane in 1974.
