monbousquet blanc is considered to be a "little madness" of the wine maker. in 1944, on a small parcel of land situated to the south of the chateau, we planted four white grape varietals in a zone universally known for it red varieties. upon reaching optimum maturity, the sauvignon blanc, sauvignon gris and muscadelle grapes are harvested by hand. after a very soft pressing, the juice is vinified in new oak. the new wine benefits next from 8 months of aging. monsbousquet blanc is bottled without filtration which helps to conserve its aromatic expression of fruits and fullness. in 2005 we produced 6500 bottles of our "little madness", which are happy to share with all of our avid friends.
