back label translation: this gran reserva from 1994 is produced following a vigorous selection of healthy and mature grapes from the tempranillo, mazuelo and graciano varieties. the vineyards of chalk-clay soil, situated near ollauri la rioja, have been providing bodegas beronia with high quality grapes for over 20 years. this wine has been aged in american oak barrels for 35 months;it was bottled in 1998 and has continued to age in bottle since that date. the wine is at its best if it is decanted or alloed to breather before consumption. it should be enjoyed at 20 degrees c with mature cheeses, foie-gras, red meats and game. translation other label: our wines are produced from carefully selected grapes from the best vineyards of rioja alta. the elaboration, ageing in american oak barrels and bottling all take place in our winery in rioja; creating a traditional rioja wine.
