translation back label: this single variety red, acknowledged by the regulatory council of d.oca rioja, is produced by bodegas beronia from a healthy and mature grape. cultivated in cool lands of chalky-clay soil, mazuelo is an indigenous grape variety to the rioja and navarra regions.mazuelo reserva undergoes a slow fermentation and remains in deposit for 9 months,during which the wine is decanted every 4 months. this first stage is completed,the wine is aged in american oak barrels, and the following bottling and ageing in the bottle until market release all takes place in bodegas beronia. a structured and long wine with soft tannins. with rough woody aromas and cherry color with red brick tones. perfect with game and strong cheese. leaving an intense & balsamic sensation on the palate. complex, special and something different from traditional wines. wine should be allowed to breathe in order to appreciate the complex aromas.
