"atamisque" is an indigenous bush 2-3 meters high that spontaneously grows around the winery and gave the name to the estate where the winery is located.
blend: 50% malbec; 25% cabernet sauvignon; 25% merlot,
vines: yield 3500 kg./ha., located at 1200 m over the sea level.
collect: manual in boxes of 18 kg.
harvest: ending april 2007.
elaboration: hand crushed, fermented and macerated in stainless steel tanks, temperature controlled.
aging: 14 months in new french oak barrels.
bottled: december 2008.
description. color: intense red, with purple glints and subtle violet flashes.
aroma: delicate though intense, floral notes (violet), red fruit jam, spices, a hint of vanilla and chocolate.
mouth: shocking, balanced, elegant; red fruit jam are emphasized (strawberry; fruits of the forest), also black pepper amazingly balanced with coffee and hazelnut, descriptors from the oak barrels aging process, unctuous tannins of velvety texture; lingering with a superb finish in the mouth.
