the monks of the abbey of lerins were established on st honorat island at the beginning of the 5th century. they currently operate a vineyard of eight hectares, 3 hectares in white and 5 in red. culture of the vineyards vinification and bottling are fully insured by the monks.
limpid, ruby, very dark purple reflections. it perceives aromas of new wood, delicate vanilla, and hazelnut. then a beautiful mature fruit with notes of blackberries, black cherries, spices and licorice. concentration of flavors, and a fine balance with powerful tannins. this is a very nice wine that is expressive and complete.syrah
